What To Expect Before Your Surgery

Prior to your procedure, it is important to complete a health questionnaire. This informs the team at The Minimally Invasive Surgery Center of New England of your state of health at time of surgery. • The nurse will also discuss with you what you should expect the day of surgery and your discharge instructions. Some further lab or diagnostic tests may be necessary, which should be completed within 30 days of your planned procedure.
  • You will receive a phone call prior to your scheduled surgery that will explain the parameters around fluids and food intake as well as arrival time.
  • Take only the medications that were advised to you from the nurse or your physician prior to surgery.

  • Remember to leave all valuables at home.
  • Please bring your picture ID and insurance card on your day of surgery.
  • Please remove all make up day of surgery along with all jewelry and piercings.
